Thanks to Yuktha Life,  an online organization for promoting arts, for giving us a wonderful opportunity to meet and interact with a great personality Sreekumar sir. we could listen to that beautiful voice and many old hit songs sung by him. All the students of BMM II TC were able to participate through google meet. It is very hard to listen to concert or a stage programme in these pandemic days. but it is very happy to know that people are looking forward, being the part of a changing society, to organize such events and shows to fellow beings like us. It was an unforgettable experience.

World Student Day and Appreciation Ceremony

Image
The birth anniversary of former President APJ Abdul Kalam on October 15 is observed as World Students' Day. Dr. Kalam was a great teacher, an eminent scientist, and a great statesman. For his unique quality of being close to common people, especially youngsters, he is lovingly referred to as a 'people's president.' On World Students' Day, we remember how he encouraged students to dream big and never be afraid of failure. Dr. Kalam was a role model for teachers and for me also. In 2010, the United Nations Organization (UNO) declared October 15 as the World Students’ Day to honor his efforts in promoting education.  On this special day, our college has organized a meeting to appreciate all the winners and participants of the Navrang, Web In Arts Youth Festival 2020. Indeed, it was a special joy for us to get recognized among our dear friends for our achievement. Thanks to all Teachers and My friends for supporting me.

Our college organized a webinar on the topic " Research Methodology" for three days from 5th October to 7th October. Dr.Lekshmi A, asst prof of NSS training college, was the guest speaker on that day. The teacher's class was in-depth and an eye-opener to me which thrashed many misconceptions. The teacher explained each and every concept with suitable examples. The teacher was able to clarify all our doubts regarding this area. We are truly thankful to the teacher for the wonderful classes.

The Nobel Prize in Physics 2020

Image
The Nobel Prize in Physics 2020 was divided, one half awarded to Roger Penrose "for the discovery that black hole formation is a robust prediction of the general theory of relativity", the other half jointly to Reinhard Genzel and Andrea Ghez "for the discovery of a supermassive compact object at the centre of our galaxy."  Roger Penrose used ingenious mathematical methods in his proof that black holes are a direct consequence of Albert Einstein’s general theory of relativity. Einstein did not himself believe that black holes really exist, these super-heavyweight monsters that capture everything that enters them. Nothing can escape, not even light.  In January 1965, ten years after Einstein’s death, Roger Penrose proved that black holes really can form and described them in detail; at their heart, black holes hide a singularity in which all the known laws of nature cease. His groundbreaking article is still regarded as the most important contribution to the general

Happy World Teacher's Day

In 2020, World Teachers’ Day will celebrate teachers with the theme “Teachers: Leading in crisis, reimagining the future”. The day provides the occasion to celebrate the teaching profession worldwide, take stock of achievements, and draw attention to the voices of teachers, who are at the heart of efforts to attain the global education target of leaving no one behind.   The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly added to the challenges faced by already over-extended education systems throughout the world. It is no exaggeration to say that the world is at a crossroads and, now more than ever, we must work with teachers to protect the right to education and guide it into the unfolding landscape brought about by the pandemic.   This day I like to remember some of my teachers who I would never forget in my life. The first one is Anil sir, who taught me Physics when I was in 12th. Obviously, Physics is a boring subject. However, Anil sir helped us to see the wonders in physics and I ha

Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration

Image
In the backdrop of the materialistic culture that dominates our world, Gandhi’s idea of simple living and strong faith in the power of truth and nonviolence can be the guiding light for a generation, which more often seems to get diverted from the road of values and ethics. One of the greatest lessons we learn from Mahatma Gandhi was his deep faith in the goodness of every individual and his unflinching belief that humanity is proceeding towards well-being. His strong belief in humanity is reflected as, “You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.” A deep understanding of the Mahatma’s Cosmo centric approach to human beings are needed more than ever before to ensure contemporary society is able to find sustainable solutions to the ever-increasing problem of biodiversity conservation and greed.   Our college organized the Gandhi Jayanti celebration on 2nd October commenced by 10am.
